It was an eventful couple of months for Ursula Tennis 🙂 Our players played several ITF and USTA tournaments. Aanya and Emily presented an amazing play and proudly wore Ursula Tennis’s Pink Colors. Ursula attended Yonex Vcore Launch event at US OPEN in New York City. Read all about it in the sections below.
Aanya Goel played tournaments this past August and September in India and Sri Lanka. At her first Grade 4 tournament in GChennai (YMCA Triangle Tennis Trust) she reached semi-finals, losing against Geware. The second event was also Grade 4 tournament in Hyderabad, where Aanya lost in the round of 16 against Pawar. The third tournament in Colombo, Sri Lanka Aanya had to retire in the first round against Japanese player Barden due to sickness. We look forward to seeing her on courts soon.
Emily Novikov traveled to St. Louis on the weekend of September 22nd and 23rd to attend Dominant Duo with her partner Anya Murthy. Emily won 3 out of her 4 singles matches, losing only to number one seed. With her partner Murthy they took home 7th place. Emily is scheduled to play another National Tournament in a couple weeks, this time in South Cali.
Ursula was invited to attend the Yonex Vcore Launch party as being part of their advisory team. Yonex party happened ahead of US Open 2018 at Skylark Lounge, NYC. Lynton Hewitt, Stan Wawrinka, Angie Kerber were some of the grand slam winners that were part of the launch party. It was a great time to catch up with all of the players and to find out what Yonex has in store with recent rackets development.
