Spring is here!!!!! For sure my favorite time of the year, particularly since the clay court season has been going on for last couple of months. Europe, with its traditional Red Clay, is the center of the attention right now.

Watching rainy Paris brings back the memories of May 2003 when I travelled there to see Roland Garros. The weather was about the same as we have seen in the last 3-4days, heavy and humid. The conditions make the court hard to play on, especially since the bounce is totally different if the court would have been dry. If the conditions continue to be like this until the end of the tournament Nadal probably has less chances of beating Novak.

I think the biggest anticipation of this tournament is focused on Novak Djokovic winning career slam and Serena Williams breaking the history for number of grand slams. Can they do it or they will crack under pressure again?

What are your thoughts? Can we look for another upset or we are settling for favorites to take 2016 Roland Garros titles. Well, we know that women’s Aussie Open Champ is out already in first round (Angelie Kerber) so lets sit back and see what happens on men’s side. I am putting my money on Rafa (as always)….but that is my fan side coming out and probably not the realistic and objective perspective. Andy Murray has won Rome and been one of the favorites to take this year French Open. It has came as huge surprise that he barely won first and second round, both going into 5 sets. Is he having trouble overcoming the split with Amelie?

Viva la France! Enjoy Roland Garros and tune in for my next blog soon.
