ATP and WTA caravan will be in the USA for the whole month of March, first few weeks in Indian Wells, CA and last couple of weeks in Miami, Florida. Who is your favorite to win both majors? Is it Federer who won Dubai title or Djokovic, raining Australian Open Champion? On the women’s side Serena decided to compete in Indian Wells for the first time after many years, so we can assume she is the favorite to win there.

But what can we do to get back into the shape for hot summer days? Everyone will slowly start spending more hours on the court considering that Winter is almost gone. The best way to get ready is to add some cardio activity into the fitness regime at least 2-3 times a week. A light run or swim should help increase the stamina. If you want to be more aggressive in your workout, interval training on the track is the best way to come back strong and better than ever. Just make sure you start slowly, you do not want to risk an injury after a slow winter season.

If you are just coming over a long cold the best way to build resistance is to change diet and consume more fruits and vegetables, increase level of vitamin C and hydrate more. This will also help elevate your overall tennis performance.
