After amazing couple weeks at US Open it is time for all the top players in the world to hit the courts again. This week ATP players are in Beijing and Tokyo followed by Masters in Shanghai. WTA players are currently battling in Beijing and later continuing their Asian tour in HongKong, followed by Singapore.

After successful season Novak Djokovic is an absolute favorite to win both of the Asian tournaments as well as Barclay Finals in London. He has been presenting an amazing form in the first few rounds of tournament. While Roger is not playing in Beijing he is scheduled to appear at the Masters event in Shanghai. I believe that Roger might be able to present some treat to Djokovic, but I cannot think of anyone else getting close. Nadal is far from his best form as in the Beijing, he had some rusty first few rounds but he did seem to show better game in semi-finals beating Fognini 7-5 and 6-3 to face either Djoko or Ferrer in the finals.

On the women’s side, Serena decided to skip most of Asian tour and will probably play Singapore as the main favorite. Venus was the one who took over her spot by winning Wuhan open last week, beating Muguruza in the finals. The Spanish lady has done extremely well in Beijing tournament as well and secured herself a spot at the Singapore finals.

Novak seems that is he having a time of his life. In Beijing he is playing doubles with his younger brother and they actually won their first round. “I’m very happy for my brother, that he was able to experience such atmosphere. He never did that before. He never experienced such great crowd. He never played on a big stadium. We enjoyed very much. Encouraging each other to the first win.” His youngest brother is ranked around 1500 in the world (ATP)  and at the age of 20 far behind Novak’s success. Novak has also mentioned his (other) middle brother actually quit tennis recently, stating that both of them have been growing up with extreme pressure to match up with Novak; which is hard thing to do…especially these days 🙂
